We show evidence that the record of Scripture is true via a process similar to inductive logical reasoning. We proceed by pointing out instances where the prophecies recorded in Scripture have come true and then conclude that remaining future prophecies will also come true in due course. As we have demonstrated in The Great Tribulation, those who fail to apply the first principle of prophecy interpretation are likely to conclude erroneously that prophecy has not been fulfilled. The correct application of the principles described in 2 Peter 1:20-21, Proverbs 3:5 and elsewhere in Scripture indicates that the prophecies recorded in Scripture are always fulfilled exactly as predicted. In addition to making accurate predictions of the future, Scripture contains instructions requiring us to do good to all and to love our neighbor as ourselves (which also includes teaching sound doctrine) as recorded in Galatians 6:10, Romans 13:8-10 and elsewhere.

In Genesis 17:4-6, God promises to make Abraham the father of many nations. Today we have incontrovertible evidence that this promise or prophecy was fulfilled as many nations currently exist in the Middle East whose peoples identify with father Abraham.

Genesis 17:4-6

4 As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.

I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.

We find numerous prophecies of the coming of the Anointed, Christ, the Messiah to take away the sin of the world and to reconcile mankind back to God. One of these prophesies is recorded in Isaiah 53 where the details indicate clearly that Christ will die, be buried and then rise again from the dead and live long (even forever and ever — Revelation 1:18) to see his seed or offspring or children. Scripture demonstrates that these prophesies were fulfilled with great precision as Christ appeared on the scene during the First Century and fulfilled his mission, culminating in the destruction of the old world of his contemporaries and the introduction of the New Covenant as could be inferred many years prior to the events in the record of Daniel 9:24-27. The core testimony of Jesus or message of the Gospel, namely, that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again (never to die again) to make way for us to attain victory over sin and death is summarized in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 and elsewhere in Scripture.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures

In Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, Jesus Christ prophesied that the Second Temple in Jerusalem and the world of his contemporaries would be destroyed completely during their lifetime. There is incontrovertible evidence that this prophecy was fulfilled in the First Century AD exactly as recorded in Scripture.

Matthew 24:2

And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you,not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

Matthew 24:34

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
